Infectious illnesses guidance

This statement sets out how we aim to work with you to reduce the spread and impact of infectious illnesses on both families and therapists.

We encourage our therapists to take sick leave when they need to. We ask you not to come in to the Centre if

  • you have been advised to stay at home
  • you have a high temperature
  • you think you have Covid-19 or flu
  • you have symptoms indicating a stomach bug

Our usual cancellation policy still applies and we will offer online appointments as an alternative wherever possible. If you think you might need to cancel an appointment due to illness, please do let us know as soon as possible so that we can work with you to find the best solution.

You may choose to wear a face covering in shared areas if you have cold or flu symptoms. We encourage our therapists to access regular booster vaccines whenever these are available to frontline health and social care workers.
