“I would definitely recommend to a friend. It brings out the child’s play in you, it’s a great feeling.”

Certificate in Creative Counselling for Young People

September 2020 – March 2021

This course is designed for qualified counsellors and therapists who have trained to work with adults or with younger children, and who wish to specialise in therapeutic work with adolescents. The contents meet BACP Stage Two curriculum requirements for work with young people aged 11 and upwards.

We are intending to run this course as planned in 2020-21, using a mixture of face-to-face and virtual teaching to minimise risk from Covid-19 and comply with all recommended safety measures.

The course provides a total of 60 hours of face-to-face training (including virtual teaching where necessary). It is open to counsellors of all disciplines who have a reasonable understanding of adolescent development and want to develop their skills in working with this age group.

Full details of this course can be found here.

Previous students have provided the following feedback:

“Great experiential training. Warm, approachable trainers.”

“Fun, interesting, informative – confidence has definitely increased as a result.”

“I feel more confident offering my clients a greater range of ways to engage with therapy.”

“A wonderful in-depth course designed to meet both BACP criteria and introduce key creative therapeutic approaches. Kind, passionate and experienced trainers with a wide breadth of knowledge and expertise.”
